The RF Team Lead is responsible for RF engineering at Sepura, working with the RF team to plan project work, and support the team in delivering high quality engineering solutions.

**Your Role**

As the RF Team Lead, you will have direct line management responsibility for a team of engineers as well as making direct technical contributions to projects and working as part of the Electronics Leadership Team to further develop the capabilities of the Electronics department.

You will need to be enthusiastic, keen to develop and grow the team, and collaborate effectively with your peers and stakeholders across the business.

**Your Day to Day**

Our customer base includes many different industries and markets around the world. Our complete TETRA and LTE solutions have been developed specifically for users in multiple sectors to face their critical communications challenges.

There is no such thing as a typical day here at Sepura. You will be supported by your manager and team, as well as collaborating with other departments across the business. You will be responsible for:

- Managing the RF team to deliver work on schedule and in line with Sepura's processes and quality requirements
- Supporting the team with planning and prioritising activities
- Facilitating resolution of technical problems
- Working with project managers to resource projects
- Reporting of progress and issues to stakeholders
- Supporting estimation of effort for project tasks alongside the engineers who will be delivering this work
- Development and maintenance of core capabilities within the team (skills and equipment)
- Contributing to continuous improvement of Sepura's processes and tools
Additionally, you will have the opportunity to make technical contributions to the design and development of products alongside your team.

**What you need to succeed**

**Qualifications**
- Higher education in Electronic Engineering or a related engineering discipline **Experience and Skills**
- Background in RF design and electronic product development
- Experience of technical leadership of small teams
- Familiarity with discrete radio design at VHF and UHF
- Good awareness of regulatory requirements for radio products
