The London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham, Adult Learning & Skill Service [ALSS] provides over 400 courses to more than 6,000 students locally and London wide. The courses offered are both nationally accredited qualifications and non-accredited courses at various locations throughout the borough.

H&F Adult Learning and Skills Service (ALSS) is seeking to recruit a dynamic and confident full time Programme Manager for Creative Arts, Crafts and Performing Arts, reporting to the Senior Manager for Teaching, Learning and Quality. This is a key role to manage, co-ordinate and lead on the curriculum development to improve planning and delivery of the Creative Arts, Crafts and Performing Arts provision.

The Creative Arts, Arts Crafts and Performing Arts offers a broad curriculum, with over 1000 enrolments to include upholstery, woodwork, stained glass, pottery, jewellery, furniture restoration, upcycling and portraiture. The Arts and Crafts curriculum provides a wide selection of lifelong learning opportunities for personal growth as well as career development, with an end of year Arts and Crafts exhibition, allowing learners to exhibit the high standards of work achieved throughout the year.

This full-time Programme Manager post is a key appointment to ensure that we maintain our excellent standards in teaching and learning. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced person to take on this exciting role and support our Borough residents achieve nationally recognised certificates and progress in their lives.

The Programme Manager will lead and manage established staff and sessional lecturers in the curriculum areas, ensure the comprehensive planning of provision across our main centres, as well as outreach venues, to include working with partners and community settings across the Borough.

The post holder must have:

- Experience of curriculum planning and development.
- Knowledge and understanding of Ofsted, (the Education Inspection Framework EIF) and the ability to contribute to quality improvement strategies.
- Range of recent successful teaching experience in the programme area.
- Evidence of the ability to develop and manage a curriculum programme that is responsive to and meets the needs of the Service objectives and priorities.
- Evidence of the ability to recruit, support and manage staff to perform to a high standard.
