**Job Details**
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Suffolk County Council (SCC) Assets and Investment team as a **Project and Programme Officer**, based at our HQ in Ipswich with hybrid working options.

We are looking for someone who can bring creative thinking, excellent organisational and communication skills to help deliver property projects and programmes across the County Council’s office estate and operational buildings. You would be working to achieve fit for purpose, cost effective accommodation for staff with a range of different workstyles and needs, enabling modern integrated services and effective use of the Council’s estate.
**Your role and responsibilities**
You will be part of a small team working closely on a wide range of important projects. As a key member of the team, you will need to work both collaboratively and independently, within a supportive environment.
- working within the Corporate Property Team on projects and programmes relating to updating and re-organising the council’s offices and operational property assets
- supporting the development and delivery of a wide and varied programme of work, including major capital projects, service accommodation changes, review of the corporate property estate and new ways of working
- leading on standard property changes, responsible for planning and co-ordinating resources, liaising and communicating with operational and design teams, delivery companies and external customers
- a high degree of interaction with a range of internal and external stakeholders
- being a contact and liaison point for services and processes that interface with Corporate Property, developing good working relationships with customers including staff and managers within other directorates and external partner organisations
- you will be working within an experienced team who oversee the Council's property needs and specifically with professionals with strong knowledge of property management, who can assist and guide you.

**You will need**
- to be educated to degree level (or qualification of a similar level) or have proven experience at an equivalent level
- to have experience in, and working knowledge of, project and programme management
- strong communication skills including the ability to communicate complex information effectively with a proven ability to engage and interact successfully and at ease with a wide range of customers, partners and stakeholders
- direct knowledge of property is desirable but not essential.
**The team**
- the Corporate Property Team is part of the Assets and Investment division of the Corporate Services Directorate
- we are a small team which oversees and procures property related services, has direct responsibility for the Corporate Office and County Farms estates, sets strategy and provides advice and guidance on property matters to the Council
