Our client is looking for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join their team on a permanent basis. The Supervisor will be responsible for the efficient operation of the stores area, including supervising the Warehouse team.

The role is Monday to Friday, 37.5hours per week. _**This role offers a competative salary**_
- **Main responsibilities**:_
- Supervise the warehouse team, and ensure all work is carried out according to the daily operation of stores
- To oversee the organisation of stores
- To pack items to be returned to suppliers in accordance with instructions detailed on the release note
- Allocate and supervise stock checks as requested by Stock Control, and work closely with the team to resolve queries
- Assist with stock takes as requested
- Ensure that all parts are picked for production, in accordance with job tickets issued by the Production Manager
- To take products to the assembly area from stores, and from Goods-in to the stores area as requested
- Carry out cover due to absences as necessary
- To operate the forklift and other lifting equipment when required
- Carry out training of new staff when required
- Verify material certification, and to compile certification packs
- Any other duties as requested by the Warehouse Manager
- **Essential requirements**:_
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment
- Experience of supervising others
- Good numeracy and literacy skills
- Ability to drive a forklift & hand lift
- Ability to follow and give instructions
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Physically fit, due to high volumes of manual handling
- Full driving licence
- Good IT skills, incl Excel, word and Outlook
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- **Desired attributes**:_
- 5 GCSE qualifications, or equivalent, including Maths and English
- Experience in stock control, picking and packing
- Experience of working with quality procedures, ISO standards for example
- Experience of using SAP
- Experience of hydraulic products

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
