Sanctuary Personnel is currently seeking an experienced Band 6 Senior Mental Health Practitioner to take on a new locum opportunity based in Newport.

**Location**:Newport

**Contract Type**: Locum, 3-month contract

**Shift Pattern**: 37.5 hours per week. 24 hours, 7 days a week. This team will be moving to all hours coverage in the coming months so rotation of shifts including nights will be an expectation of the role.

**Pay Rates**:

- Days - £35.97 p/h
- Nights/Saturdays - £46.77 p/h
- Sundays/Bank Holidays - £57.59 p/h

**Duties**:

- Provision of Education about Mental Health to acute colleagues will be an expectation of the role
- Have the opportunity to support our new Mental Health Rapid Response Vehicle service, delivering support for people experiencing mental health crisis in the community in partnership with our ambulance service

**Requirements of the Senior Mental Health Practitioner**:

- Relevant registration
- A Registered Mental Health Practitioner (Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Social Worker) with experience of working with People experiencing a mental health crisis
- A highly motivated, compassionate person who is able to work under pressure
- Passionate about improving the experience for people who access support and treatment, and we welcome any ideas to develop and improve the service we provide
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to interact at all levels
- Attention to detail and proven ability to work to tight deadlines are essential for this role, as well as a high level of accuracy, data management skills and proven IT skills particularly in Electronic Patient Records
