Junior Building Surveyor

**Job Title**: Junior Building Surveyor

**Location**: Wimborne, Dorset

**Hours**:08:30-17:00 / Monday - Friday

**Salary**:£26,000

We are looking for a talented and driven individual to join our team. As a Junior Building Surveyor, you will be responsible for assisting our senior surveyors in conducting assessments of existing buildings and new construction projects, building surveys, bank monitoring reports, preparing tender and Contract documents, managing construction projects, and advising on statutory requirements such as planning, Building Regulations, CDM Regulations and Party Wall matters. This is an exciting opportunity to gain valuable experience and work with a team of experienced professionals in the field.

**Responsibilities**:
Undertake assessments of development projects alongside creating a report advising the bank of any appropriate risks to the development that may affect their lending decision.

Assist senior surveyors in conducting building surveys and inspections.

Assist in the preparation of building reports, specifications, and schedules of work.

Liaise with clients and contractors on project specifications and requirements.

Undertake measured surveys and prepare drawings using AutoCAD or similar software.

Assist in the assessment of building defects, including identifying the causes and recommending remedial actions.

Monitor building works to ensure compliance with specifications and regulations.

Keep accurate records of surveys, inspections, and assessments.

Assist in the day-to-day running of the company office where required.

**Requirements**:
A good base knowledge of how buildings works and construction standards.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.

A keen eye for detail and accuracy.

A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.

A level of ‘hands on’ experience of the building industry will be beneficial.

**Salary**: From £26,000.00 per year
