**What you’ll be doing as our Apprentice Accounts Assistant**:

- Manage and be respnsible for the monthly supplier statement reconciliation, including chasing suppliers for statements and resolving reconciling differences.
- Manage and be respnsible for the daily preparation of several key reports, including:

- Stock KPI and Aged debt KPI report
- Inviced sales report
- Custmer payment tracker
- Bank Balance reprt
- Other reprts as and when required
- Add purchase invoices using the i-docs system for invoices not requiring a purchase order.
- Learn the i-docs system and become an administrator of the system, helping colleagues as and when they have queries and resolving issues where possible.
- Manage and be responsible for aged debt management, this will include:

- Arranging a mnthly meeting between the Sales Department and the Finance Department
- Prdouce the aged debt report ahead of the meeting from SAP
- Take ntes against each item of aged debt from the meeting and ensure actions are carried out to ensure payment of old debt

**The Skills, Knowledge and Experience you will need as our Apprentice Accounts Assistant**:

- The successful applicant will be highly motivated for a career in Accounting and Finance.
- They will have a strong drive to pass exams and gain qualifications in Accountancy with a desire to use their knowledge and skills to take on more complex tasks.
- They must be willing and able to take ownership of the tasks assigned to them
- They must have initiative to make changes or improvements to tasks or processes where they see them.
- They will have good communication and organization skills
- They must be reliable with a desire to take on more responsibilities

**Entry requirements**:

- 5 GCSEs, including Maths and English. Apprentices without English or Maths must achieve this prior to taking the end-point assessment.

**Support we will give to our **Apprentice Accounts Assistant**:

- Full training will be given upon joining for daily tasks and on the IT systems such as SAP and i-docs
- Full support will be given by the finance team for on-the-job training and study support

We haven’t yet confirmed our 2023 apprenticeship salary, but as a guide our current starting salary for L3-4 Apprentices is £16,000pa and L5-7is £21,000pa. We will also pay for your tuition and course fees.
