Leisure Attendant

Pure Leisure Group is an established family business which has for many years now been a market leader in leisure and holidays in the U.K. The Company owns and operates holiday parks throughout the North West, Wales, Yorkshire and East Anglia.

We have an exciting opportunity for Leisure Attendants to join our Leisure Centre team at South Lakeland Leisure Village, the role will involve working a variety of days, evenings and weekends, so flexibility is a must

As a Leisure Attendant you will be a part of a team motivated and skilled team providing an effective and efficient function throughout the Leisure Centre department.

Key Responsibilities
- Answering telephone calls and dealing with queries on reception from prospective/existing members, carry out reception and administration duties in relation to the centre members, including bookings and membership enquiries.
- To instruct members in the use of the fitness suite (supervised).
- To conduct fitness classes which include, spinning, toning and circuit training.
- To supervise the pool in a life guarding capacity when reaching 30 bathers.
- To ensure a high standard of cleanliness and excellent public image is maintained.
- To undergo specific training as indicated by the Duty Manager and be required to attend water based training periodically.
- Ensure health and safety standards are maintained and comply with all legislation, regulations as directed by the Company and any health and safety issues to the Duty Manager.
- Liaising with other team members to ensure tasks are completed effectively.
- Accept instructions from the Duty Manager in a correct and appropriate manner.
- Any other duties which may, from time to time, be determined by the Company management.

**Qualifications/Experience**:

- RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification - Or willingness to work towards
- Experience in a similar role in a health/fitness club or local authority sports centre.
- RSA/YMCA - Optional.
- First Diploma/GMVQ in Sport or Health related course.
- Good time management, is organised and creates a good impression, takes pride in quality of work and is always presentable.
- Excellent communication skills, able to convey information clearly and accurately.
