**Job Description**:
**Job Description**:
**Social Research Interviewer - Mobile, with travel up to 30 miles**

Have you ever wondered where stats like “_36% of Britons think the government should reduce income tax_” come from?

We're recruiting throughout the UK, if you are over 18, personable & confident when meeting new people, have a vehicle & a valid UK driving licence, and want to earn money whilst impacting public policy - then this is the role for you

**£12.10 per hour outside London **_[£14.41 in London_**], a £500 joiner bonus, plus travel expenses** - and the opportunity to earn even more as your experience grows.**

You will be knocking on people’s doors using light sales techniques; we make engaging with them easier by writing to them in advance; and calling people to make appointments.

You will get to speak to a wide variety of people each day and a key part of the role is being personable and being able to clearly show people why spending a little bit of their time to take part is worthwhile.

You give them a chance to have their say and influence public policy.

Some assignments will be very local to you; travel up to 30 or so miles can be necessary.

This is a flexible customer service, or sales role so you’ll have some control over when you work, although we ask you to commit to at least 12 hours a week. Beyond this flex your time around other commitments like childcare, caring, or other roles.

To begin with you will be paid by the hour and once you are up and running you will be paid by results. You’ll likely earn more this way, where you are being paid for every interview you complete along with other bonuses and incentives.

You’ll be assigned to a large area, you could have to travel up to 30 miles to reach certain postcodes, sometimes further - remember travel is always paid. In most cases you’ll need access to a car or another vehicle. If you’re in London [_or Central Manchester or Birmingham_], there’s other ways to get around.

**Benefits**:
Fully paid induction training

12.07% holiday pay on hours worked (equivalent to 20 weeks’ vacation if working full time)

Pension scheme

Assistance Program

Regional Events, i.e., Roadshows & Coffee Mornings

Insurance cover

Ongoing training & Support

Additional Information:
Our most successful interviewers work across days, evenings and weekends - allowing people with existing childcare, caring and other job commitments to work flexibly on their own schedule. All of our training and briefings take place during traditional office hours.

Essential Skills:
Vehicle and UK Driving license [If you’re in London [_or Central Manchester or Birmingham_], there’s other ways to get around.]

Aged over 18

Ability to travel within your region, up to 30 miles (or further)

Willingness to knock on doors

Comfortable with technology

Desired Skills:
An outgoing personality, with the confidence to speak to new people to earn their trust in a short period of time. Experience in administration, customer service, or hospitality industries are desirable.

About Company:
Kantar Public helps shape national and local government policies. As one of our interviewers, you'll help those who make decisions about public spending, tax, health services, crime prevention and much more, by helping them understand what the public thinks.
