Children's Residential Support Worker

We have an exciting position for a Children's Residential Support Worker to join our existing brilliant team of caring and compassionate individuals. We are looking for committed and resilient individuals who follow our ethos of putting the young people at the heart of everything we do.
Our warm, safe and modern home based in Erdington, West Midlands can care for up to 3 young people aged 7 -18 with emotional behavioural difficulties, here we provide them a haven where they can feel happy and settled and really express themselves and their feelings at all times.
Your role as a Support Worker is vital to their development and you have the opportunity to really make a difference in the young people's lives and help guide and support them to achieve positive outcomes and life choices. Duties will include supporting the young people daily, attending meetings with health officials, general household duties, completing any relevant paperwork and administering medication if required.
Ideally all applicants will hold a relevant NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent and have experience working in residential care.
We will also consider applicants who have worked with young people in some capacity, but all applicants MUST be passionate about the role and have the ability to show patience when required, our young people can show signs of challenging behaviours so require a calming influence and the ability to form positive relationships are essential for this role.
Our shift patterns include early, late and some sleep shifts (up to 10 per month), so must be willing to work some weekends and bank holidays.
Salary will be up to £29,949 per annum, this is based on 40 hours per week and a sleep bonus of £75.74 per sleep shift, a full holiday allowance and access to our therapeutic services and many other perks come as standard to our fantastic, valued team members.
