You will help to drive the organisation’s compliance with data protection legislation through the design and implementation of effective data protection policies, systems and procedures as well as the development and delivery of data protection training.
You will be expected to work independently and as part of the wider Legal Services team, so it is important that you are a team player, with good communication skills (both written and verbal) and able to build strong relationships across the organisation.
**Role Purpose**
The DPO will help to drive the organisation’s compliance with data protection legislation through the design and implementation of effective data protection policies, systems and procedures as well as the development and delivery of data protection training.
**Skills & Experience**
**Essential**
Certified Data Protection Officer, or equivalent.
Detailed knowledge of the Data Protection Act, UK General Data Protection Regulation and related legislation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex messages at a senior level.
A proven ability to build relationships.
Proven track record of implementing innovative solutions and strategic thinking, delivering tangible outcomes under pressure and to challenging deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills coupled with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong IT skills including knowledge of MS Office.

Legal qualification.

**Salary**: £40,000.00 per year
