Ground Transportation Systems UK (GTS) are helping to shape the future of the rail industry in the UK. We specialise in signalling and communication, collaborating with the biggest names in the industry to deliver the rail of the future. This role is expected to transition to Hitachi Rail as part of the transfer of ownership of GTS from Thales.

Our Opportunity

We are currently looking for a Talent Generalist to join our HR team, supporting the delivery of Talent Acquisition, Talent Development and Early Careers. You will focus on the delivery of our talent strategies, supporting the TAP (Talent Acquisition Partner) and TDP (Talent Development Partner) in creating and executing campaigns across the business.

We are looking for someone who is able to manage their time efficiently, build positive relationships and work across multiple projects at once. You will need to have prior experience in either a talent role or a role focused on delivery.

In this role, you will be able to follow our SMART working policy, with at least two days per week in our office in St Katherine’s Dock, London.

Key Responsibilities:
Your role focuses on three distinct areas, and as such, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

- Talent Acquisition_
- Support the TAP with delivery of timely, best practice recruitment, including role briefs, advertising, screening and setting up interviews
- Work with hiring managers to understand requirements and advise on processes
- Conduct Right to Work (RTW) checks on all external hires
- Talent Development_
- Support with regular Talent Reviews through scheduling meetings, room bookings, data collection and reporting
- Ensure consistent presentation and input of key data including that for our Talent Development programmes
- Actively participate in ongoing Talent Development initiatives such as Onboarding, Talent Reviews and Early Careers
- Early Careers_
- Contribute to weekly Early Careers meetings, helping to devise and deliver Graduate and Apprentice recruitment and development programmes
- Support the TAP in the recruitment campaigns for Graduates and Apprentices
- Work with the TAP, TDP and wider Early Careers team to set up, manage and deliver Assessment Centres
- Assist the TDP in developing and delivering the training schedule for our Grads and Apprentices

- Highly organised
- Strong time management
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

Technical skills:

- Experience in a coordination/support/resource role within a large, complex, corporate environment
- Demonstrated history of working within a fast paced, delivery focused role
- Experience of working with multiple stakeholders at once to deliver on simultaneous demands
