Momentum Recruitment are seeking a Warehouse Supervisor on behalf of our client based in Dartford. Our client is a leading fruit processing company that specialises in producing high-quality fruit products.

As a Warehouse Supervisor (Evening), you will work as part of a dynamic and supportive team in what can be described as a fast-paced and target driven environment to ensure the stock entering or leaving the depot is accurate. You’ll be primarily responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the Evening shift Warehouse Operations. Thus Supporting the Management team to ensure the overall warehouse plan is achieved through a culture of team work, ensuring all aspects of H&S are followed, Legal, Company and Customer Requirements are adhere too.

**Pay**:
£13.52ph with a night shift allowance of £8 per night.

**Shifts**:
4 on 4 off shift pattern

5am til 5pm

**Responsibilities**:

- Supervise Warehouse and Dispatch evening staff workload and duties.
- Maintain Warehouse hygiene standards.
- Supervise all evening inbound arrivals, order picking assembly, labelling and dispatch.
- To ensure all Warehouse duties are completed in an accurate timely/safe manner.
- Ensure Warehouse MHE equipment is placed on charge at the end of every shift and is maintained in a safe working order.
- Monitor the evening arrivals, orders, assembly and dispatch of goods.
- Use space and mechanical handling equipment efficiently.
- Have a clear understanding of the company's policies and vision and how the warehouse contributes to these requirements.
- Support training of staff, as well as monitoring staff performance and progress.
- Motivate, organise, and encourage teamwork within the workforce to ensure productivity targets are met or exceeded.
- Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene. COSHH and security in the work environment, for example, ensuring that stock such as chemicals and food are stored safely.
- Support staff holidays across department.
- Ensure a full understanding of the hand-held scanners relating to order assembly and stock management.

- People skills, including the ability to inspire, lead and motivate a team of people, delegate work and explain ideas.

- Planning and organising skills.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Initiative and decisiveness.
- IT skills and spreadsheets.
- Problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of the legal requirements of operating a warehouse.
- Assist new members of staff with “on the job” training as required.
- Ensure the Policies and Procedures relating to Hygiene, Health & Safety are always followed.
- Cover, where necessary, other duties within the Company operation.
