The market is seasonal and the focus of the business changes during the course of the year. In the spring and summer months the activities are primarily around order processing and fulfilment; in autumn and winter the emphasis is more on business development and re-stocking. The role therefore also has seasonal variation, but the key elements are:

- Calculate cost and selling price for new products
- Create new items on the Tentspares and third-party sales systems
- Scheduling the manufacturing and warehouse operations to ensure that we work efficiently and dispatch orders on time
- Parts ordering
- Preparing information for accounting purposes
- Preparing management data and information to drive business development

We are looking for someone who can not only do these tasks but develop and improve the processes behind them.

Tentspares is a small business and has an absolute focus on customer satisfaction. We expect our staff to be flexible and willing to contribute on the daily priorities. In busy periods that can mean that everyone takes part in the physical activities of picking, packing and dispatching orders which are at the core of our business.

**THE PERSON**
- **Numeracy** - for example to calculate the costs and selling price of a product
- **Literacy** - for example to research details of products online, write short product descriptions for our website or to correspond with suppliers
- Strong **computer skills**, especially with Excel or similar - for example to use our stock, manufacturing and accounting systems
- **Attention to detail** - for example in entering technical or commercial details into our systems
- **Process thinking** - for example able to define a step-by-step procedure for others to follow
- **Flexibility** - the task and priorities can change within the day and the willingness to adapt and focus on new activities is vital

**EXPERIENCE**

The following are not absolute requirements but experience of any of the following would be an advantage:

- Warehouse operations
- Small scale manufacturing operations
- Sage accounting systems
- Online retail
- The outdoor or camping industry

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £17,207.54-£23,600.00 per year
