**Care Team Leader**

As a Field Care Supervisor or 'Team Lead', you will oversee the delivery of care within the Vale of Glamorgan and Cardiff. You will be responsible for management of the care staff, defining care packages, assessing risks and ensuring the care delivery complies with care regulations. You will help drive the growth and quality of the care provided in your area by setting the right example for your team.

Working with a care coordinator, you will design the runs for the staff and make sure our clients are happy with their work. You will help new and existing staff learn how to be high performers in their jobs. You will also have senior carer(s) (depending on hours of care provided) to help you run the team and deliver quality care. You will be a key part of the move towards social care and health working more closely together. This means working alongside GPs, District Nurses, Community Pharmacists, other Allied Health professionals, as well as other social care providers and community services, to ensure our common clients have good health outcomes. Yours will therefore be a strong voice in representing the views of social care in the delivery of the client’s care.

You will be supported by the Registered Manager. You, your senior carer(s) and care coordinator will form part of the on-call system. We have an advanced mobile based rostering and care management system which can be used on a tablet or mobile phone provided to you that will give you all the necessary information when out in the field or in the office.

We will also support you with skill and career development but we expect to you have a minimum of level 3 qualification in Social Care and at least 3 years supervisory experience either in the social care sector or elsewhere. You will also need to have a driver’s licence and have access to a car. You will also be required to clear a DBS check.

**Responsibilities**:

- Management of the care staff ensuring they are fulfilling the company expectations
- Defining care packages
- Assessing risks and ensuring the care delivery complies with care regulations
- Help drive the growth and quality of the care provided in your area by setting the right example for your team Essential Skills/Experience
- Working with the wider team to help with operational duties
- Keeping up to date records of care staff and the people we support
- Being part of the on-call rota

**Requirements**:

- Minimum NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care or working towards
- Minimum 3 years supervisory experience in social care or other
- Driver's licence and own vehicle
- Required to clear an Enhanced DBS check
- Excellent organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Good IT and computer skills

**Salary**: £26,000 per annum plus on-call

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £26,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Cardiff, Cardiff: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Care: 3 years (required)
- supervisory: 3 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (required)
- NVQ Level 3 Health & Social Care (preferred)
