As an Assistant at Friends and Flavours Street Food Truck, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our mobile food service. Your primary responsibilities will include taking customer orders, maintaining a clean and organized work environment, assisting in food preparation, and delivering excellent customer service. You will not be asked to do any cooking, but add the finishing touches and pack takeaway orders. If you're passionate about food and love engaging with people, this is a perfect role for you. Always on the move, we roam the streets, conquering taste buds no matter the weather. Our food truck is a journey through sun, rain, or snow, and we're on the hunt for an Assistant who craves adventure as much as they crave delicious food

Key Responsibilities.

**Customer Service**:

- Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner.
- Take customer orders accurately and provide information about the menu items.
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve concerns, and provide exceptional service throughout their visit.

**Food Preparation**:

- Assist in preparing burgers, fries, and other menu items according to recipes and food safety standards. You will not be asked to do any cooking, only add the most important final touches.
- Ensure the freshness and quality of ingredients by managing inventory and replenishing supplies as needed.

**Operational Support**:

- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including food prep stations, cooking equipment, and serving areas.
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately and responsibly.
- Assist in setting up and closing the food truck at the beginning and end of each shift.

**Food Safety and Sanitation**:

- Adhere to all food safety guidelines and health regulations.
- Keep all surfaces and equipment sanitized and in compliance with hygiene standards.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in a fast-food or food service environment is a plus but not required, as all training will be given
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to food hygiene and safety.
- A positive and energetic attitude.
- Flexibility in work hours, including weekends and evenings.
- Driver’s license and own transport (ideally, but can be discussed) and ability to travel to the locations/ prep station.
