Rochdale, United Kingdom Regenda Group Full time

**Annual salary of £27,152**:

- ** Permanent role**:

- ** Part Time **_(37hrs hours per week)_
- ** Based in Rochdale**

**_
(_**_This role is full time, 37hrs across Monday to Friday,_**_ but due to the responsive nature of the role, you have flexibility to plan your own week and working pattern.)_**

**The role**

The purpose of this role is to work with and support people who are rough sleeping across the Rochdale, Bury and Bolton area. Working with a small caseload of 6-7 people, you will be responsible for front line intensive crisis support, delivering a personalised, trauma informed support service.

Your day-to-day activities will include but are not limited to, supporting people with sorting out their benefits, supporting people suffering with mental health and substance misuse issues and supporting people to medical appointments when needed.

You will work collaboratively with the police, safeguarding teams, local councils, support workers and external agencies.

This is a hands on role with no two days ever being the same.

**The right fit**
- Prior experience with intensive crisis work is essential. This is not a care role - You will be directly supporting people in sometimes very difficult circumstances.
- You will be required to display strong knowledge of the complex inter dependencies of mental health and substance abuse and offending behaviour.
- You will have a high level of relationship skills: empathy, caring, acceptance, mutual affirmation, an encouragement of responsible risk taking, supportive and constructive challenge and positive expectation for the future.
- You will have a creative approach to problem solving; getting and keeping people engaged demonstrating empathy.
- You will have a good understanding of the Housing First model and believe in its values and principles and be able to promote the rights, responsibilities, and informed choice of the people they work with, acting as an advocate to promote independence.

**Who we are**

We believe people should have access to safe, secure, quality housing. We help people to develop skills, independence and make positive choices. We believe collaboration with other agencies and organisations is key to creating a world where everyone has a safe place to live.
