We’re looking for a senior press officer to join us, helping to spread the word about the amazing things we do at Co-op Food. In this role, you’ll support the creation, development, and delivery of a wide variety of exciting PR campaigns and projects, making sure our food products and services get the great media coverage they deserve. If you’ve got the consumer PR experience, and the great communication skills we’re looking for, we can offer you the opportunity to make a huge impact in a business that always puts people at the heart of its strategy.

**What you’ll do**
- build, develop, and deliver agreed PR plans and campaigns, with a focus on product placement
- write, create, and produce innovative and impactful media materials for both traditional and online media channels
- secure earned PR product placement opportunities across traditional and online media
- devise and run paid-for influencer campaigns to support product launches and relevant business initiatives
- identify news story opportunities and sell into media
- build and maintain a strong network of relevant internal stakeholders and journalist contacts, including key online influencers, and stay up to date with the latest industry developments
- interact with other marketing teams to ensure PR is integrated within the wider communications channel campaigns
- help to manage a busy daily press office with a high flow of incoming media enquiries, develop responses and action media requests
- safeguard Co-op Food’s reputation in all aspects of the role

**This role would suit people who have**
- experience in consumer PR, with a proven ability to manage and deliver successful product placement campaigns
- a solid understanding of traditional and social media platforms, with a talent for creating and sharing compelling content across multiple channels
- excellent copywriting skills, with an ability to proactively seek PR opportunities
- existing journalist contacts and the ability to build meaningful relationships with colleagues, journalists, and other external partners
- experience of positioning PR within a wider marketing channel plan
