**Credit Control Team Leader - Claims**

We are currently recruiting for a Credit Control Team Leader on behalf of our client, a highly regarded and very well-known Lloyd's/London market business.
The key purpose of the role is to achieve the prompt collection of Reinsurance assets and premium for UK & US business, as well as achieving the settlement of assumed balances in line with company timetables for UK portfolios.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Following procedures for settlement/receipt of outwards reinsurance balances.
- Achievement of company and departmental objectives.
- Liaising with brokers and reinsurers as appropriate, including the holding of meetings.
- Ensuring that payment requests are completed in a timely manner, and in accordance with procedures & processes.
- Liaising with all departments, particularly Claims & Ceded Reinsurance.
- Ensuring agreed claims are monitored for subsequent payment, or reporting reasons for nonpayment.
- Deputising for the Credit Control Manager as required.
- Providing support and assistance to members of the Credit Control team.
- Maintaining external relationships with Brokers, Reinsurers, Cedants and Acquisition partners.
**Key Requirements**
- Must have previous experience within a similar role in the Lloyd's Market, with knowledge of Credit Control procedures and techniques.
- Project management and risk management techniques.
- An understanding of international insurance market operations, with particular regard to run-off.
- Knowledge of market procedures for the settlement of Lloyd's and Non-Lloyd's balances.
