We are excited to be looking for an Apprentice Economist based in London You will work towards achieving a Level 6 qualification.

Our Business Case & Economics team in the UK comprises around 60 economic and financial specialists with experience of working across sectors including transportation, aviation, urban development, socio-economics, social value, and environmental economics - delivering to an international client base. Our industry leading team inform policy development, conduct economic appraisals, and provide expert technical advisor support for infrastructure transactions and procurement projects.

We are involved in some of the most interesting and exciting infrastructure projects in the world, and this leads to excellent opportunities to get involved in extremely interesting and rewarding commissions. Recent project work has included:

- Providing strategic policy advice to DfT and Network Rail on the future of the UK rail industry
- Developing a commercial business plan for an Australian port
- A study looking at the impacts of COVID-19 on traffic levels for a portfolio of Italian toll roads
- Development of capital investment plans for airports in India and Saudi Arabia
- Development of business cases for High-Speed Rail lines in Sweden and the UAE
- Buy-side commercial due diligence on the acquisition of a Mediterranean ferry company
- An economic impact assessment for a new 400kV electrical OHL cable to support a power station

**Here’s What You’ll Need**:

- 3 A Levels or equivalent relevant Level 3 qualifications, preferably including Maths or a willingness to improve maths capability to this level.
- This apprenticeship is also open to bright, enthusiastic applicants with other relevant qualifications or previous experience.
- A flexible and proactive self-starter who’s passionate about developing new skills
- The ability to adapt and prioritise whilst juggling work and study priorities
- Empathy and listening skills to help you truly understand our clients’ requirements
- A well-rounded person - have you travelled around the world? Worked in a bar? Been captain of a sports team or volunteered for a charity? Tell us - we’re looking for people with interesting stories and experiences
- You must have the permanent right to work in the UK.
