Prospectus is delighted to be working with The Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) to recruit a Corporate Governance Manager who will combine experience, gravitas and diplomacy with energy, excitement and a hunger to ensure the smoothrunning of their governance structure.
The Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) is a pioneer in responding to the threat of climate change. We support engineers in finding innovative ways to make buildings perform for individuals, the community and the planet. As a leadingprofessional engineering institution, CIBSE has over 22,000 members across 95 countries. Their membership is diverse and comprises a broad range of specialisms. CIBSE consults the government on construction, engineering, and sustainability, providing the resourcesneeded to meet net zero targets in the UK, Europe and worldwide.
The main responsibilities of this role include overseeing the operations of the Board, Trustees and Committees and ensure the effective implementation of CIBSE's governance processes. You will manage the schedules of business including training, developmentactivity and formal meetings for the board as well as oversee the operations of the Board and Committees and ensure the quality assurance and effective implementation of CIBSE's governance processes. You will ensure compliance with all governance and GDPRrequirements as well as be responsible for the day-to-day running of the Benevolent Fund.
To be successful as a Corporate Governance Manager you will have demonstrable experience in a governance role. You will have experience in governance and planning, preparation and timely issue and publication of agendas, reports, supporting papers and minutesfor senior meetings. You will have knowledge of governance requirements, have an excellent attention to detail and possess outstanding communication skills. You will have powerful credentials in being hyper-efficient, knowledgeable and well organised, as wellas a high level of confidentiality, integrity and flexibility.
Please note this role is offered to work in their London office on a hybrid basis.
