**HOURS: 37 HOURS PER WEEK**

As the Companion Animal Centre Coordinator you will ensure the smooth operational running of our Companion Animal Centre, K9 Dog Grooming and Willow Kennels at the Wisbech Campus as an educational and commercial facility.

Our Companion Animal Centre houses a wide range of animals from hedgehogs to goats, cockroaches to scorpions, tortoises to chickens. The area is a growing and popular area with a high level of learner numbers. The animal centre is open 7 days a week over 365 days of the year. Providing learners with the skills required to work in a range of animal industries.

Our dog grooming parlours are open to the public Monday
- Friday allowing our students to get the best hands-on experience, so that they leave with industry ready skills and experience. We have invested heavily into the salons to ensure that our students and customers receive the best grooming experience.

This is a broad and varied role with a focus on working with local communities to ensure that the parlours and animal centre continue to grow and ensuring that high level of animal husbandry needs and welfare are met plus that stock and equipment are maintained. Another core component of the role is to step in to support our learners by providing teaching, coaching and learning support, by providing cover for colleagues. We would love to hear from you if you have experience of working closely with a wide range of animals and have experience working safely and independently.

Your experience and qualifications in a relevant field, such as animal care or dog grooming, is far more important than teaching qualifications. There is a requirement to be qualified to PTLLS level, but if you do not have this CWA will support you to obtain. CWA is proud of its track record of supporting our staff to achieve their teaching qualifications with many of our current lecturers being appointed in support staff roles.

A relevant full Level 3 qualification is essential, and you must either have qualifications in Health and Safety or be willing to obtain. You must have a Level 2 English and Maths (GCSE A*-C/9-4) or equivalent or be willing to obtain.
