**Job brief**:

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide personalised care and support to individuals with daily tasks, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication administration.
- Foster positive relationships and provide emotional support to individuals, creating a nurturing and supportive environment.
- Implement tailored care plans to meet the unique needs and preferences of each individual, ensuring their safety and dignity at all times.
- Monitor individual progress and document changes in their condition, maintaining clear communication with healthcare professionals and team members.
- Promote independence and empower individuals to develop life skills and participate in community activities.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to health and safety regulations and infection control measures.

**Essential Criteria**:

- Mandatory Training in care and support (e.g., the UK Core Skills Training Framework - CSTF Mandatory Training, OR the Care Certificate).
- Certification in either CPI Training (formerly MAPA) OR PMVA (Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach towards providing care and support.
- Flexible availability to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and remain calm under pressure.

**Desirable Criteria**:

- Additional training or qualifications related to mental health, learning disabilities, or complex needs.
- The Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism.
