We are a Supported Housing provider based in Birmingham seeking to employ a fulltime Housing Support Worker to offer weekly support to our residents in the community (throughout the Birmingham area).

Our service is accessed by homeless adults who may have a variety of needs. These residents rely on Support Workers to support, encourage and motivate them to identify barriers to maintaining a tenancy and facilitate their progression to securing a suitable permanent housing solution.

We are a lively team, seeking a team player committed to learning & development, dedicated to continuous improvement of service and willing to work as part of a team when facing challenges.

The role includes;
**Professional conduct and working with others**
- Demonstrate a commitment to quality through professional conduct, adhering to all policies, procedures and best practice.
- Recognising the limits of a Support Worker, utilising the expertise of other professionals by building professional networks; facilitating services which benefit the progression, development / betterment of residents within the service
- Demonstrating a commitment to flexible working and working as part of a team; sharing knowledge and best practice to drive continuous improvement.

**Provide residents with a safe and cultivating environment**
- Suppor
ting residents to maintain their accommodation in line with their License Agreement
- Responsible for completing weekly Room Inspections with all residents; submitting your findings and using this information to support residents to manage their tenancy
- Carrying out health and safety assessments within community properties, reporting health and safety concerns using the designated IT systems and supporting residents to utilise these also.
- Supporting residents to maintain a clear, healthy and safe environment ensuring residents accommodation is compliant with Health & Safety and contractual requirement for Supported Accommodation

**Maintain a caseload of residents in line with contractual compliance and quality standards**
- Completing the correct Registered Social Landlord documentation, reports / support notes and other relevant documentation to evidence all interactions within the defined quality standards and timescales
- Supporting individuals to review and access permanent housing solutions and other community services
- Helping individuals to understand and access housing and other benefits available to them
- Completing, working to and reviewing personal risk assessments and support plans with residents to ensure that relevant support is provided and that residents have a clear plan for ‘moving on’
- Processing Housing Benefits Claims, Universal Credit and PIP claims (DWP) with and for your residents
- Complete support sessions with clients and update their files on a daily basis.
- Doing administrative tasks to support your work such as tenancy agreements or marketing.

**Maintaining standards and comprehensive records**
- Ensuring that all interactions are recorded in compliance with RSL requirements and best practice within agreed timescales; detailed, coherent and organised.
- Undertaking frequent administrative tasks to manage records and information in a compliant manner, this includes; file organisation, utilising the ‘shared point’ for remote working and quality assurance

- **Must undertake an enhanced DBS and be deemed suitable to work with vulnerable adults**
- **A full UK Driving License is required and use of your own vehicle. This is essential as the role requires visits to different locations across the Birmingham area.**
