Pensions Administrator

**Key purpose of job**
To provide efficient Teacher (TP) and Local Government (LG) pension, NEST, and other pension scheme administration to support the payroll bureau service for a client-base of schools ensuring that all returns, reconciliations, and queries are completed and resolved in a timely and accurate fashion, in accordance with Pension Scheme guidance.
**Key responsibilities and accountabilities**
- Produce, use, and monitor the pension timetable/checklist
- Run pension tasks from in-house payroll and pension system (Catalyst/Civica)
- Run pension monthly, ad hoc and Year End pensions task using in-house reporting tool (Kanban)
**Teachers Pensions**:
- Monthly Data Collection (MDC)
- Monthly Contribution Reconciliation (MCR)
- Convert clients from MDC to MCR
- Year End
- Additional Voluntary Contributions administration (Prudential)
- Administration via portal (Starters, leavers, Retirements, Ill-health etc)
**Local Government**:
- Monthly returns (PN11)
- Monthly returns via iConnect
- Additional Voluntary Contributions administration (Prudential)
- Year End
- Administration (Starters, leavers, Retirements, Ill-health etc)
- Administer other pension schemes (NEST and Standard Life)
- Work within the guidelines of The Pension Regulator
- Provide management information as and when requested
- Collaborate with Juniper colleagues (commonly with, but not limited to; On-boarding, Finance, HR and Payroll)
- Investigate and resolve all pension queries via Zendesk (customer service software)
- Reconcile TP and LG monthly calculations
- Identify and attend suitable training and development opportunities to maintain an up to date working knowledge of payroll and pension administration, systems and procedures.
- To undertake any other duties and responsibilities as are reasonably requested by the Line Manager.
**Key attributes and competences**
- Minimum of 2 years pensions experience with an excellent understanding of pension fund authorities’ regulations of main and additional schemes
- Education pensions experience desirable
- Excellent Excel knowledge
- GDPR aware
- Ability to disseminate data accurately
- Competent Communicator
