- **Purpose**:_

As an Operations Management Trainee, you will collaborate closely with the Site Manager to support and learn the intricacies of daily operations within our bus services teams. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring a safe, regulatory-compliant operation while continually enhancing customer and colleague experiences. You will contribute to achieving the site’s annual business plan by engaging with key stakeholders to meet customer needs and achieve service delivery and performance targets efficiently and within budget.
- **Key Responsibilities**:_
- **Health and Safety**:_
- Ensure effective implementation of the Company Health and Safety Policy.
- Comply with all statutory health and safety obligations as outlined in the Arriva HS&E Management System.
- **Customer Service**:_
- Ensure the site team delivers exceptional service in line with stakeholder requirements, company policies, and procedures.
- Foster business relationships crucial to local performance and collaborate with Local Authorities.
- Ensure timely and thorough responses to customer complaints, taking appropriate actions to prevent recurrence.
- Maintain secure management and storage of lost property.
- **People Management**:_
- Promote Arriva’s values and support an organisational culture of Equality, Diversity, & Inclusion (ED&I).
- Collaborate with the Site Manager to ensure the site has adequate resources, capability, and competence.
- Motivate and engage site teams to achieve high performance and effective collaboration.
- Forge strong working relationships with key stakeholders, including the Trade Union.
- **Quality and Operational Compliance**:_
- Support the delivery of outstanding service and operational compliance.
- Work with the commercial team to continuously review networks and customer feedback.
- Utilize business performance management tools to drive personal and team accountability for business success.
- **Financial Management**:_
- Assist in the development of the site’s annual budget and business plan.
- Focus on maximizing revenue and controlling operating costs.
- Continuously review financial performance against budget and recommend actions to address any shortfalls.
- **Continual Improvement & Innovation**:_
- Identify and recommend improvements to processes and systems.
- Act as a Change Agent and Value Creator, driving operational excellence through innovation.
- **Corporate Social Responsibility**:_
- Uphold and promote the reputation and values of Arriva in all business relationships and activities.
- **Essential Requirements**:_
- Commitment to working towards becoming the Site Accountable Manager.
