Purchasing Assistant

**The Company**:
We are the UK's largest manufacturer/ distributor of woodburning stoves, Chimney systems and fireside accesories. We operate out of 4 sites across the UK and Ireland with our head office based in Blackpool, employing more than 100 team members.
**The Role**:
Due to continued growth and expansion we now require a hard
- working, honest and enthusiastic Purchasing/ Office Assistant to join our team. This person will:
- Help order parts and materials
- Develop and maintain supplier relationships
- Communicate any shortfalls on sales orders to our customers.
- Tracking deliveries and updating purchase order records
- Assisting with import/ export procedures
- Communicating with the sales team to help ensure they are kept updated with any stock/ delivery developments
- Assisting the purchasing manager with day to day tasks
**Full training will be provided.**
**Requirements and skills**
- Previous work experience within an office environment
- Working knowledge of MS Excel
- Good organisational skills
- Good phone manner
- Sage experience is preferable but not a necessity
- Confident Communication skills
Pending a 12 week probation this is a permanent position.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: £10.95 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Blackpool: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
