We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our team in a staff restaurant, serving breakfast and lunch, as well as freshly prepared vending items for evening service to a TV media company.

As Sous Chef, you will play an important role in overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen. You will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in menu planning, ordering supplies, ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are met, and supervising kitchen staff to ensure the smooth running of the kitchen.

To be successful in this role, you should have a passion for cooking and experience cooking world foods, with a proven track record of working in a busy kitchen environment.

As Sous Chef you will be required:
- To supervise kitchen staff and to encourage self-development
- To produce and present consistent high standards of food
- To understand the business needs and requirements
- To deputise in the absence of the head chef to ensure that standards are maintained to the highest level
- To assist maintaining all legal health, hygiene and safety records
- Ensure the highest standard of cleanliness is maintained within the kitchen
- Assist the development of the kitchen staff
- Input of new ideas and food styles to assist in maintaining customer satisfaction
- To carry out all reasonable tasks expected by management
- To communicate with the team and to ensure they all understand the parameters of the business through the head chef objectives
- Ensure attendance of all relevant training and development course
- Liaise with head chef to ensure that all work is carried out efficiently and to the correct timescales
- Ensure that kitchen staff are aware of the standard required

**Working Pattern**: 5 out of 7 days 6:30am-5:00pm

**Skills and Experience**

The experience and knowledge we are looking for from the future Sous Chef include:

- Genuine interest in customer service excellence
- A great team player
- Catering experience desirable but not essential

**Benefits**

As part of your package, we are offering a salary up to £36,000 per annumm
