**PPA SEND Teacher**

Protocol Education are working alongside a SEN School in Swindon to appoint an Autism/SEND Teacher to join the school ready for the new academic.

The role of PPA Autism SEND Teacher is an exciting role working with the current team off teachers to support the schools growth in pupil numbers. The core purpose of the role is to develop and deliver a holistic academic, social communication and life skills curriculum for our pupils with autism.

**Pay**: Dependent on experience - to scale if QTS

**Hours**: 08.30 - 15.30

**The School**

A dynamic and expanding special school for pupils with moderate learning difficulties and complex needs. All of the pupils have moderate or severe learning difficulties and social communication difficulties. Some have autism, ADHD or other more complex needs.

The school takes a very person-centred approach to each of our pupils’ learning to maximise their independence and realise their aspirations.
- A passion for making complex concepts accessible for the autistic learner.
- A child-centred practitioner who responds to the individual needs of each child.
- A teacher with a commitment to developing a good knowledge and understanding of autism and social communication needs and appropriate strategies to support pupils with this need. E.g. TEACCH
- A creative and flexible approach to teaching that builds success through challenge, personalisation and innovation.
- The confidence and skills to build positive relationships that help to break down barriers, build self-esteem.
- A commitment to enabling all our pupils to overcome their challenges and achieve their potential both socially and academically.
- Experience of primary, secondary, or specialist provision beneficial.

**What We Can Also Offer**
- An extremely competitive pay rate of £90 - £130 per day (dependant on experience)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
