**Goods In & Despatch Assistant**

The X-Cel Group, consisting of X-Cel Superturn and Vector X-Cel and Colson X-Cel are manufacturers of high specification component parts and assemblies, with HQ based in the national hub of engineering expertise - the Advanced Manufacturing Park (AMP) S60 5FS, and Vector House, S60 1FB.

We are pleased to release the following opportunity to join our valued team, based at the AMP location.

**Goods In & Despatch Assistant - **A warehouse-based position to support the smooth and efficient running of the Goods In/Out and warehouse operation. Required to effectively prepare, pack/unpack, move, despatch and effectively check our manufactured products to ensure they are moved, stored and leave us with the required highest quality standards.

**Duties and responsibilities of the role will include but are not limited to**:

- Packing/loading our machined products for collection, unloading/unpacking deliveries
- Assisting Goods In and Despatch including general housekeeping of the area
- Manual handling of metallic products from 15mm to 350mm in diameter (using lifting equipment)
- Maintain a clean and tidy workspace
- Uphold health and Safety, environmental and quality policies
- Flexible approach to work, and willing to support colleagues
- Experience in a similar (manufacturing or engineering) environment preferably within a supporting Goods In/warehouse role.
- Licensed user of overhead cranes, FLT (fork lift trucks) and reach truck/side loader
- Excellent, concise attention to detail with a strong work ethic and ‘will do’ attitude
- Follows management directions to achieve results
- Excellent planning, organisation & communication skills
- Enthusiasm and desire to learn
- PC literate

**Hours & Remuneration**:
Monday-Thursday 07:00-16:00, Friday 07:00-12:00 (39 hours per week)

£11.50 per hour (dep on exp) + overtime
