Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our team. The hours of work will be 4pm-10pm you will be required to work weekends we try and get one on one off, you may be required to cover days and nights. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our elderly residents. This position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to supervise and guide other care assistants.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement individualized care plans for residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare professionals
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
- Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents
- Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and the care team
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents
- Supervise and guide other care assistants in providing quality care

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in senior care or a related field is required (not a nurse)
- Strong knowledge of care plans and the ability to develop individualized plans for residents
- Proficient in using IT systems for documentation purposes
- Familiarity with working in a care home setting
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle challenging situations with empathy and professionalism
- Valid driver's license is preferred
