Reporting into the chief Operating Officer, this role will lead the development of the technical procurement function and processes within the requirements of Bramble Energy’s Quality Management System, and all associated industry and territory standard.

This role will also lead all procurement and supplier selection and relationship activities for Bramble Energy across both its current and future range of Hydrogen Fuel cell Products.

**Job Description**:

- Developing a standardised tender process and documentation to ensure a simple, robust and successful supplier selection activity.
- Lead supplier tender assessment and selection activities, with support of Engineering, Products and Quality teams.
- Develop and maintain long term commercial agreements with current and potential suppliers, identifying and driving cost saving opportunities.
- Establish multiple supplier opportunities / routes for critical components to mitigate potential supply chain risks.
- Provide procurement / commercial input into cross-functional teams that effectively contributes to the organisation’s programme goals.
- Drive continuous improvement within the supply chain, focusing on reducing lead-time, cost down activities, increasing agility and delivery performance and ensuring all specifications and quality standards are met.
- Creation, development and maintenance of purchase orders, utilising business MRP system.
- Representation of the department, interaction and communication with all of the key stakeholders, both internal and external.
- Work with the engineering team, to fully understand component / system requirements, to support successful supplier selection.
- Work with the project management and quality team to ensure project risks are mitigated ahead of delivery.
- Deliver programmes within the Key Performance Indicator targets.
- Continuous improvement of processes and administrative functions to ensure a streamlined and efficient way of working.
- Manage supplier performance through development and production phases, ensuring that quality, cost and delivery performance is maintained at high levels. Drive continuous improvement in these metrics.
- Support the quality department in achieving full quality Approval.
- Identify supplier risk and develop robust risk mitigation strategies where necessary, to ensure Production is never stopped due to stock out issues.
- Lead and promote good supplier relationships.
- Play an instrumental role in enabling the function to achieve its business objectives, through meeting or ideally exceeding defined objectives.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to constructively challenge and persuasively communicate at all levels both internally and externally.
- High levels of attention to detail, pride in work, with a keen eye on quality.
- Excellent relationship management skills with the ability to engage, negotiate and manage key internal and external stakeholders at all organisational levels
- The ability to self-manage and work under pressure to deliver and thrive in an ever changing and dynamic environment.
- Proven ability to proactively work in cross-functional teams to define clear improvement action plans and close-out in a timely manner.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

**Qualifications**:

- Has strong experience of working with and managing a global supply chain.
- Experience in a similar position and understanding of the commercial aspects of high volume large batch manufacture.
- An Engineering focused education or experience is preferable.
- Experience of working across disparate supply chains.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with associated experience in a globally diverse supply chain.
- Professional training and certification (CIPS) would be a beneficial.
- Proficiency in a second language (preferably Mandarin) is advantageous
- Knowledge of continuous improvements techniques.
- Proven ability to independently lead negotiations and support in the development of strategies for large and complex projects.
- Ability to constructively challenge and persuasively communicate at all levels both internally and externally.
