**We are hiring**:
The Procurement Portfolio Specialist will support the end-to-end category management processes within their portfolio area. This role will support the long-term agreements showing commercial creativity, innovation, and expertise to internal stakeholders. This position is responsible for maximising value by:
**Package**: Competitive base salary, healthcare, annual bonus, pension options and 25 days holiday.

**What will I be doing?**
- Supporting a defined portfolio of third party spend aligned to stakeholder objectives as agreed by the procurement business partnering team.
- Enabling a strategic focus for third party portfolio management across all business units and functions and is perceived as a market expert in the marketplace in which they operate.
- Working with stakeholders to ensure the delivery of all value identified in the contract across its lifecycle, focussing on areas of further value-add in line with business agreed targets.
- Proactive relationship management of third parties to maximise value for the business units and functions.
- Maintain the appropriate category Buying Channels as well as risk and compliance for all suppliers within their accountability

**About you**:

- Strong engagement and influencing skills across the function and with stakeholders.
- Ability to challenge internal stakeholders through market knowledge, a view of latest trends and good practice.
- Good understanding of the end to end Source to Pay process and how better information and improvements in process can deliver value to the organisation.
- The ability to network in order to build productive relationships across all areas of the group.
- Be a contributor for the global team to become known as the external market experts across Centrica.
- Proven ability to deliver in a timely manner the completion of category management initiatives.
- Be able to manage and lead in a matrix structure, ensuring clear accountability with in-country leads and global categories.
- Create and maintain One Procurement and One Centrica culture.
- Education
- Degree educated or appropriate relevant in work experience.
- Experience of performing end-to-end Portfolio Category Management
- Proven ability to think laterally, globally, and creatively to drive additional value for the business.
- Ability to influence stakeholders and evidence of building trust across with colleagues.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Good negotiation skills. A track record of significant cost reductions in goods and services related to indirect spend.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities (i.e. enthusiasm, decisiveness, strategic thinking, change agent).
- Track record of delivering long term value within a Procurement environment.
