**Location **The Jakemans Community Stadium, Boston and other locations due to the nature of the role.
**Job Purpose**:
The purpose of the Community Sports Coach role is to inspire and empower members of the community through high-quality sports coaching to participants in the Community Foundation’s various programmes and initiatives.
**Main Duties & Responsibilities**:
- To plan appropriate coaching sessions based on the needs of each programme.
- To deliver a wide variety of sessions to various participants as organised by programme leads
- Liaise with programme leads to ensure all monitoring and evaluation is completed as per the programme requirements
- Be a positive role model, creating a positive and fun environment in which to motivate and encourage people to participate.
- Ensure all delivery is in line with the Community Foundation’s delivery philosophy and coaching fundamentals
- Deliver engaging, inclusive and varied sessions to participants with a range of abilities, adapting delivery style appropriately
- Assist with the delivery of key events including Premier League Primary Stars, HAF, Community Football initiatives and other Community Foundation programmes
- Develop relationships with key stakeholders including parents and teachers
- Complete detailed and relevant reports and assessments where necessary
- Ensure all sessions and activities are planned and to the required standards
- Assist with the planning and implementation of programme specific schemes of work
**Personal Specification**
**Qualifications**
UEFA C / FA Level 2 in Coaching Football - ESSENTIAL
FA Safeguarding Children Certificate (Valid) - ESSENTIAL
FA Introduction to First Aid Certificate (Valid) - ESSENTIAL
UKCC Level Two Coaching qualification in another sport - DESIRABLE
Level 3 Certificate in Supporting the Delivery of PE and School Sport - DESIRABLE
Level 2 multi-skills qualification - DESIRABLE
**Knowledge and Experience**
Experience of delivering curriculum and extra-curriculum programmes in schools - DESIRABLE
Experience of coaching sport in schools and/or the community - ESSENTIAL
Experience of managing and building relationships with schools - DESIRABLE
Ability to plan, prioritise and manage whilst being adaptable to meet - DESIRABLE
Excellent presentation skills using ICT and other online resources - DESIRABLE

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - ESSENTIAL
Ability to work individually and as part of a team - ESSENTIAL
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail - ESSENTIAL

**Control of Resources**
**Staff** - The Employee has no supervision responsibility of staff
**Volunteers/ Work Experience** - The employee is responsible for working with the Head of Education to supervise volunteers and work experience placements and integrate them into the work programme.
**Equipment** - Ensure you check and look after Boston United Community Foundation’s equipment, which is necessary for the effective delivery of your sessions or activities.
**Monitoring and Evaluation - **The employee is responsible for the production of the necessary reports recording participants and attendances at the sessions they are delivering.
**Financial** - The employee has no budgetary responsibilities
**Health/Safety/Welfare** - The employee is responsible for the health, safety and welfare of themselves and others whilst at work in accordance with the Boston United Community Foundation Health & Safety Policy.
