People/hr Assistant

**Responsibilities**:
- Operating Oracle people management system, making enquiries, running reports & updating through the employee life cycle.
- Updating the attendance management log and communicating with absent employees and managers.
- Arranging employee meetings, assembling management packs and correspondence.
- Timely processing of employee starter, leavers, transfers and amendments information.
- Processing and responding to written correspondence and handling telephone enquiries.
- Producing reports, updating logs on a weekly / monthly basis.
- Maintenance of confidential HR records.
- To ensure that all administration is carried out in a timely and accurately.
- Participate in team meetings, one to one meetings and training.
- Taking meeting minutes.
- Develop and maintain effective, supportive working relationships with relevant departments, sharing information and developing efficient processes.
- Create and distribute monthly site newsletter and employee recognition.
- Develop and update all employee communication and media displayed around the site.
- Support the organisation of site events that promote colleague wellbeing and engagement and charity fundraising events.
- Develop and support links with local community organisations. Administer the site’s social media sites and run communication campaigns to support site initiatives.
**Skills, experience and attributes
- Excellence in administration including attention to detail, timeliness, and accuracy.
- At least 1-years’ experience in an HR/People Administration role.
- Adept at organising and presenting information.
- An effective communicator at all levels, both oral and written.
- Possessing the personal qualities of resilience, energy and flexibility and able to work under own initiative.
- Naturally curious, willing to learn and bold in personality.
- Confident, motivated, resourceful and able to work on own initiative.
- A high level of personal integrity displaying values of respect and empathy.
- Innovative and creative problem-solving abilities
- Some higher education preferred, possessing a minimum of GCSE grade C or NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
