We are looking for a dedicated and engaging Youth Worker to join our Advice and Wellbeing Hub team, who cover open-access drop-in sessions at our Advice Centre in Southampton, appointments and remote support, providing quality, accurate and appropriate information, advice and support to children and young people under 26 years. You will be supporting children and young people on any topic, everything from emotional wellbeing and mental health, through to benefits and money advice.

You will be using your skills to engage with the children and young people, and build trusting and supportive relationships, to empower them to achieve their full potential.

We are committed to making a difference to the lives of the children and young people we work with, and as such you must show a willingness to demonstrate commitment to the values and behaviours which flow from the No Limits ethos. Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people is paramount.

As part of our team, you’ll receive a comprehensive induction and access to learning and development opportunities that are relevant to your role and to support your ongoing development.

**You’ll have the essentials of**:

- Experience in working with children and young people and / or a Level 3 (or equivalent) youth work qualification
- Ability to build trusting and positive relationships with children and young people, enabling them to make their own informed choices
- Experience and knowledge of effective interventions with children and young people
- Demonstrate effective communication, organisational and time management skills
- Able to problem solve, identifying when a problem needs addressing and produce workable and creative solutions
- Demonstrate a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people

**You may also have**:

- Knowledge of issues and challenges children and young people may face, such as housing, health and wellbeing, substance use, education / training, and family / relationships
- Knowledge and experience of the support and services available for children and young people
- Experience of partnership working with external organisations

**Role Terms**

**Salary**:Band C, £23,831.54 to £25,528.94 (Full Time Equivalent, pro-rata for part-time)

**Hours**: 37 hours per week - this includes occasional flexible cover on Wednesday and Thursday evenings, and Saturday mornings
**Place of Work**: No Limits Advice Centre, High Street, Southampton - there may also be a need to work at other No Limits locations depending on business needs
**Contract**: Permanent
**Essential Car User**: No
