**PRIMARY SCHOOL SPORTS COACH**

**CHESHIRE EAST & NORTH STAFFORDSHIRE**

**SALARY: £21,000 - £24,500**

We Are Allstars Ltd is delighted to be able to offer an exciting coaching position with a growing and developing company. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a passion for coaching; the individual will be committed to developing their coaching knowledge and skills.

Since the business began in 2019, we have grown significantly, particularly over the past 12 months.

Allstars Coaches deliver a wide variety of both traditional & unique sports in both school and extra-curricular settings within a set geographical area.

- Can you effectively deliver an immense amount of positive energy towards a group of children
- Do you have a strong desire to use sports and enrichment activities to improve the lives of young people
- Can you maintain the attention of a potentially large number of children
- Do you carry the confidence and comedic flair necessary to get children talking, get them laughing, and help them enjoy the session more

Our coaches work on a timetable basis - every week you will visit the same children in the same clubs and schools, developing and building relationships with children, staff and parents although you may be required to cover a class, we keep this to an absolute minimum.

During the school holidays you will be part of our Holiday club team collaborating with other highly skilled coaches to deliver high quality holiday care and work to develop yourself, and us.

Our future is very exciting and our aim is to continue to expand current areas of the business, as well as adding exciting new projects that are ready to go live in the next 12/24 months.

**The successful coach will**:
Be delivering a high standard of extra-curricular clubs and PE lessons, predominantly in Primary Schools, with a view to taking on extra responsibility as you progress within the company.

**Responsibilities and Duties**

To effectively plan, deliver and evaluate a range of high quality enrichment, unique sport and sport-specific sessions

To organise, lead, and/or assist on sports holiday camps

To undertake training and professional development where necessary in relation to role within the organisation

To undertake other duties, commensurate to the post, as necessary when required

To engage and rapport with young people, school staff members and parents

Possess excellent communication skills

To be intrinsically motivated to work hard and perform their duties to the best of their abilities

To prioritise the welfare and safety of the young people they are responsible for

To be enthusiastic and innovative

To be punctual and organised

To be able to work effectively on own initiative, and as part of a team

**Qualifications and Skills**
- Experience of coaching childrens sports
- Full driving licence, access to own transport and willing to travel
- Availability during peak hours of 2pm-6pm Monday-Friday
- Ability to teach PE to Key Stages 1 & 2
- Working knowledge of the primary school national curriculum for teaching PE
- The ability to use appropriate teaching styles
- A high level of coaching ability and commitment to developing their knowledge and skill
- Extensive previous experience working in schools, leading sessions, working with children from all backgrounds, and maintaining control of large groups without direct support/supervision
- The ability ensure students are taught according to their individual needs and abilities
- To ability to employ teaching strategies that engender enthusiasm and raise the aspirations of all children
- Energy and initiative
- The ability to work as part of a team.
- A high level of personal organisation.
- A degree in sport coaching or similar qualification
- Range of NGB Level 1 or higher qualifications in a variety of sports
- Current First Aid qualification (must be completed prior to commencement of post).
- Current Safeguarding and Protecting Children qualification (must be completed prior to commencement of post)
