**Head of Inventory, Asset Management and Facilities**

We are looking for an enthusiastic leader who can work with our team to manage our inventory and purchasing, asset and fleet management and site facilities.

**Inventory**
- Ability and experience of controlling stock movements, goods coming in being accurately recorded on the SAGE stock software and being physically stored in the correct location.
- Responsible for producing reports, managing inventory, assisting with stock forecasting and control, month end tasks including inventory reconciliation.
- Work with Finance to integrate the current stand-alone system, including the adoption of project accounting.
- Develop, implement, and continually review inventory levels and control and tracking systems to monitor levels and maximise efficiencies to ensure our trade team can work efficiently. Leading the stores team in this activity.
- Ability to challenge operatives where needed on the stock that they are requesting, i.e does it accurately meet the requirements of the job.
- Ensure that purchasing of inventory items is done effectively and work with suppliers to ensure best value is obtained for the company.
- Cultivate strong relationships and regular communication with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and seamless service.
- Monitor commercial and operations activities to recognise and understand the impacts of the functional areas.
- Conduct thorough reviews of existing stores processes, identifying inefficiencies and areas of improvement, and implementing best practices for operational efficiency and to reduce cost. Develop an approach for continuous improvement of processes going forward.
- Develop a high-performance culture where processes are optimised and team members are guided to deliver excellence, targeted performance and achieve their potential.
- Lead, manage and inspire the logistics team providing guidance, support, mentoring, training and development and fostering a positive team environment.

**Asset Management**
- Fleet Management, responsibility for the fleet of 43 vans and other company vehicles
- Ensuring that the fleet is maintained to reduce downtime of trade teams.
- Ensure all Health and Safety requirements relating to vehicles and tools are adhered to.
- Procurement and disposal of vehicles to obtain best value for the business.
- Tool management - ensure the existing tool hire agreement is managed effectively.
- Ensure that future tool requirements are understood and fulfilled in the most cost-effective way.
- Develop existing system to ensure that all tools are tracked and secured.
- Ensure that appropriate levels of PPE are maintained

**Facilities Management**
- Responsibility for all facility issues relating to the offices, stores and yards.

- Inventory management, including purchasing.
- Proven team leadership with ability to motivate, coach and manage a team.
- Driving processes to continually improve ways of working.
- Adaptability to changing business needs and operational requirements.
- Monitor the operation and safe use of maintenance tools, PPE and any other work-related equipment.
- Experience of system and process implementation

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From £35,000.00 per year
