An exciting opportunity to support young people in having their say about a wide range of services focussed on mental health. Herefordshire is committed to improving access to mental health services for all of our young people. As part of this commitment, we want to ensure that services are always shaped and influenced by the voice of children and young people. The CLD Trust has recruited and developed Wellbeing Ambassadors. These are young people who have benefited from accessing emotional health services in the past. As the Children and Young People’s Participation Worker, you will be responsible for recruiting and supporting our Wellbeing Ambassadors, helping them to develop and promote their key messages. You will be passionate about young people’s emotional health and committed to genuine participation, combined with a willingness to develop creative and innovative approaches. In return, you will receive regular supervision and excellent development opportunities.

**Duties**:

- Recruit, induct and train our Wellbeing Ambassadors.
- Facilitate monthly meetings with our Wellbeing Ambassadors.
- Develop innovative participative practice models.
- Develop and promote workshops and other events that ensure the voices and views of our young people are heard.
- Develop collaborative working arrangements with other key organisations in the county related to emotional health (e.g. CAMHS, 2tegether NHS).
- Communicate the messages from our ambassadors through virtual platforms and other media.
- Provide financial oversight and control of expenditure to agreed budgets, including expenses for our Wellbeing Ambassadors.
- Support our ambassadors in regional and national events to help raise the profile of their messages.
- Deliver, with appropriate support from the CLD Trust, presentations and talks to raise the profile of the Wellbeing Ambassadors and their messages.
- Maintain appropriate records, in line with the policies of the CLD Trust, ensuring that principles of consent, data protection and confidentiality are respected at all times.
- Research and develop systems for the formal accreditation of training provided to our Wellbeing Ambassadors.
- Be prepared to work flexibly when required, including some evening and weekend works on occasions.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 15 per week

**Salary**: £20,143.00 per year
