**Business Administration Apprenticeship - Drew Primary School**

**Overview of role**:
**Apprenticeship Summary**:
- Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week (shifts tbc)
- Term-Time Only (38-40 weeks)
- Wage: £8 per hour
- The is an automatic increase in wage after 1st year to the NMW for your age.
- Location: Wythes Road, Silvertown, London, E16 2DP
- Qualification: Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship Standard
- Duration: 18 months
**Key responsibilities**:
We need someone who is customer focused, highly motivated, works well under pressure and wants to make their mark in an admin team.The role is to maintain our image and to be instrumental in the support of the whole school in the varied tasks each day would bring. Apart from maintaining procedures already in place we are very interested in someone who wants to improve these processes and themselves to deliver greater efficiency and outcomes.
We are looking for someone who:
- is able to contribute to, and work as part of a team
- has excellent communication skills and a flexible attitude
- has effective time management and an ability to work on own initiative
- excellent people skills
- outstanding IT literacy
**Key duties**:
- To be responsible for overseeing the support process; including completing the relevant
paperwork for referrals when required. To liaise with external agencies and parents/carers as
appropriate, making sure that Warwickshire LA guidelines are followed.
- To support the academy in improving punctuality of students.
- To provide data as required to members of SLT in line with academy reporting procedures.
- To assist the Assistant Principal in enabling students to access Alternative Curriculum packages as
necessary.
- To attend meetings with Year Teams, SEND team and other appropriate groups to develop good
practice and monitor attendance issues.
- To represent the academy in any civil and court proceedings and give evidence if necessary.
- To play a full part in the life of the academy community and to support its goals.
- To adhere to and promote the academy’s corporate policies.
- To be responsible for own health and safety and that of students and staff, in accordance with
the Health and Safety policies to ensure wellbeing of all people on site.
**Apprenticeship Learning Summary**:
Summary: The role may involve working independently or as part of a team and will involve developing, implementing, maintaining and improving administrative services. Business administrators develop key skills and behaviours to support their own progression towards management responsibilities.

- Milestone 2. IT Skills - (Systems, Record and document production, Financial processes and Professionalism and productivity).
- Milestone 3. Communication - (Verbal, Digital, Social Media, Stakeholder Management, Problem Solving, Integrity and Productivity)
- Milestone 4. Continuous Improvement - (Processes, Coaching and Developing others, Decision Making, Quality and Responsibility).
- Milestone 5. Project Management - (Project Lifecycle, business fundamentals: Finance, Change, PESTLE, leading a project).
- Milestone 6. Preparation for End Point Assessment
**Qualifications Requirements**:
- GCSE or equivalent (Functional skills) English (Grade 4) essential
- GCSE or equivalent (Functional skills) Maths (Grade 4) essential
