The Centre for Graduate Prospects are recruiting student staff to join the first team of Student Career & Skills Coaches.

This exciting new role is for you if you are a confident communicator with a genuine interest in enabling life-changing success for students, and graduates.

As a Student Career & Skills Coach you will be the first point of contact for students, and graduates, with their employability and enterprise needs.
You will provide peer-to-peer support through one-to-one and one-to-many interactions; providing an initial diagnostic service, helping to produce CVs & Cover Letters, and promoting engagement in the wide range of opportunities across the Centre for Graduate Prospects.
This new role provides an exciting and varied opportunity for you to utilise your knowledge and skills while developing new ones. You will work across the Centre for Graduate Prospects, and you will be involved in developing innovative ways to raise awareness to students. This could be creating media content, organising lecture shout-outs, meeting students, graduates and employers at events or supporting Sunderland Professional Award (SuPA) success.

1) A demonstrable ability to work in a fast paced, frontline, face to face, awareness raising, advisory and/or information giving role.
2) Experience of public speaking and presenting to large groups.
3) Evidence of successfully engaging and animating others.

This paid role is a fixed term contract for a period of up to 12 months with multiple working pattern options available to suit the successful applicants. Scheduling will be flexible to accommodate your academic schedule. Various hours are available.

**Key dates**

**Role starts, with compulsory training on 11th/12th/13th September (approx. times 9.30-4.30).**
