Weekend Kitchen Assistant

We are a busy, vibrant beachside restaurant looking to recruit hardworking kitchen Assistants to join our friendly team.

As a kitchen Assistant, you are effectively the engine room of the kitchen. Working under the guidance of our Head Chef, your job will be to ensure the kitchen is clean and operational at all times. You may also be required to be involved in food preparation.

Main responsibilities of the role:

- Washing utensils and dishes, ensuring they are stocked and put away appropriately
- Accepting deliveries and being responsible for storing and distributing goods accordingly
- Peeling, chopping, cutting and cooking foodstuffs, helping to prepare salads and desserts
- Disposing of rubbish
- Ensure that COSHH, Food Safety and Health & Safety regulations are adhered to and any incidents are reported in line with procedures
