The Department of Geography and Environmental Science is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Environmental Science (teaching-intensive) to prepare and deliver teaching in the laboratory, field, PC lab, and classroom on environmental pollution, environmental consultancy and management, environmental chemistry, environmental biology, and statistics for environmental scientists.

The School of Archaeology, Geography and Environmental Science (within which the Dept sits) has been the owner of an Athena SWAN Silver award since 2016 in recognition of its good employment practices in relation to women working in science, engineering and technology (SET) and are committed to enabling a learning and working environment that is accessible and welcome to all.

You will have:

- Relevant knowledge of environmental chemistry and biology and familiarity with their core concepts and methods;
- The ability to convene modules and deliver effective teaching in environmental science across a range of levels and different class sizes;
- The ability to establish relationships and liaise with external organisations to deliver learning opportunities for students
- The ability to deliver field, laboratory, classroom, and PC class based teaching;
- Relevant experience of undergraduate or masters teaching;
- Evidence of collaborative working.

**Interviews are to be held on Thursday 27**th** July or Friday 28**th** July 2023 with the role starting, ideally, with effect 01 September 2023 although this is negotiable.
