To deliver therapeutic activity programmes to meet defined clinical outcomes

Support to assess and provide interventions to patients under the supervision of a qualified Allied Health Professional i.e., Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Dietitian

Be involved in interventions to relatives, carers and other professionals, to promote understanding of the aims of therapy and to ensure a consistent approach to patient care.

Contribute to the assessment of a patient’s understanding of treatment proposals, and work within the legal framework with patients who lack capacity to consent.

Be prepared to work alone within scope of role and have their own caseload of patients with non-complex needs previously seen by a registered AHP.

Provide support other staff and students as appropriate.

Respond positively to organisational change and be flexible with work practices depending on need.

Support the provision of a flexible 7-day-a-week service if service requires this working both inpatient and in community settings.
