Milton Keynes Talking Therapies is pleased to advertise their Senior Qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) post. We are seeking to recruit a motivated individual who will support the Step two lead in maintaining a high performing low intensity service. Alongside step two clinical work the successful individual will assist the Step 2 Lead in managing the Step two pathway, maintaining quality and throughput of assessments, individual and telephone work, digital and workshop interventions.

The Senior PWP for the digital pathway is involved in maintaining the operations of groups and silvercloud in the service and other digital treatment options. The Senior PWP liaises with external providers. There is also a strong focus on quality improvement for digital treatments. Supervision and Line Management of qualified PWPs will be a key component of this role which is spread across several sites in the Milton Keynes area. Milton Keynes Talking Therapies is a positive service with a strong focus on staff wellbeing and a good record of retention. Support of staff through supervision and regular CPD opportunities is key. You will work closely alongside other team members in IAPT from a diverse range of professional backgrounds. This role supports MK Talking Therapies Service and aims to develop the PWP service provision within MK Talking Therapies. The post-holder will provide high volume evidence based self management interventions to clients with mild to moderate anxiety and depression.

The post holder will develop, support and train innovative practice to qualified and trainee PWP’s. There is also significant clinical/case management supervision and co-ordination components to the post and the post holder will supervise and/or line manage qualified and trainee PWP’s under the direction of the Step 2 Lead and Clinical lead.

The post holder will work with people with different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary and should be committed to equal opportunities.
