**Are you eager to land a brand new role for the New Year? Our client in East London are looking for an experienced Targeted Youth Justice Workerto join their team and play a crucial role in their social care operations.**

**Position**:Targeted Youth Justice Worker

**Location**:East London

**Hourly Rate**: £23 p/h (Umbrella)

**Start**:ASAP

**Duration**: 3-6 months (Possible Extension)

**Key Responsibilities**
- Building of effective, meaningful relationship with young people, and those in their ecology, through a trauma-informed and systemic lens.
- Delivery of direct case work with individual young people aged 10-17 who are referred for diversion, including Out of Court Disposals.
- Design and delivery of programmes of group work, as agreed, for children within the youth justice cohort.
- Prevent youth offending, protect the public and safeguard individuals.
- Help deliver the authority’s responsibilities under the Children Act 1989 & 2004 and other relevant legislation with respect to children in need.

**Job Requirements**
- Experience of supporting vulnerable children and young people from a variety of backgrounds and with complex needs.
- A relevant qualification to Diploma level or equivalent, or above (e.g. **Youth Work, Social Work, Psychology or Youth Justice**)
- Understanding of teenage brain development, the impact of childhood trauma and how this may be present for young people.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- **An Enhanced DBS on the update service is required for this role.**
