The post holder will undertake skilled support work which involves clinical techniques requiring high level of technical skills to assess and treat patients as well as housekeeping and administrative duties to support the physiotherapy service.The post holder will be expected to organise and manage own caseload; assist with data collection and analysis and bring forward ideas for service development.Having an understanding of evidence based practice and delivering care in line with current evidence the post holder will conduct delegated new patient assessments, determine and implement care plans, modify treatment in response to patient outcomes and manage the discharge process, within locally agreed protocols, care bundles and guidelines. Delegation may be through the service referral management process or from a triage or screening assessment process based on local agreements.The post holder will have knowledge, clinical experience and competence in locally defined activities and will evaluate assessment findings and treatment outcomes and quickly escalate patients' health concerns and needs that are beyond the scope of their role to manage to the registered practitioners.The post holder will work alone or with other members of the team as required; they will manage their own caseload and priorities their work based on patient need and service demands within departmental standard operating procedures.
