Key Responsibilities:

- Provide supervision and support to social workers within the team, including case consultation, reflective practice, and professional development.
- Monitor and review the quality of social work practice, ensuring adherence to statutory regulations, local policies, and best practice guidelines.
- Facilitate case discussions, team meetings, and reflective practice sessions to promote learning, collaboration, and effective decision-making.
- Conduct case audits and quality assurance checks to identify areas for improvement and implement action plans to address deficiencies.
- Act as a point of contact for complex cases, providing guidance, advice, and expertise to social workers in managing challenging situations.
- Liaise with partner agencies, including health professionals, education providers, and legal services, to coordinate multi-disciplinary support for children and families.
- Contribute to the recruitment, induction, and training of social work staff, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in accordance with organisational policies and statutory requirements.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification.
- Registered with Social Work England.
- Substantial experience working as a social worker within children's services, with a focus on family and children assessment.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role, providing guidance and support to social work staff.
- Strong knowledge of child protection legislation, statutory regulations, and best practice standards in social work.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, manage competing priorities, and make sound decisions.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice.
