**Opportunity Overview**:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Field Maintenance Operative, who can bring their hands-on skills and experience to maintain facilities within the food sector across Northern Ireland, based out of Newry. This role is perfect for a versatile handyman/handywoman/handyperson with a knack for carpentry, plumbing, and basic electrical repairs. You will play an essential role in ensuring the safety, functionality, and aesthetics of our client's facilities through routine maintenance and quick resolution of issues.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Versatile Maintenance**: Carry out a broad range of maintenance tasks, including carpentry and plumbing repairs, ensuring facilities operate smoothly.
- **Basic Electrical Tasks**: Perform simple electrical repairs and maintenance, no formal electrical qualifications required.
- **Routine Checks**: Conduct regular inspections and maintenance to prevent issues and maintain standards in food sector facilities.
- **Issue Resolution**: Efficiently identify and rectify maintenance problems, minimizing downtime and disruption.
- **Safety Compliance**: Adhere to health and safety guidelines, ensuring a safe working environment for all.
- **Effective Communication**: Liaise with clients and team members to coordinate maintenance activities and understand requirements.
- **Experience**: Proven experience in a similar maintenance or handyman/handywoman role, particularly within the food sector.
- **Skills**: Competent in carpentry and plumbing, with basic electrical skills. Ability to perform various maintenance tasks and basic facility repairs.
- **Attributes**: Problem-solving mindset, excellent communication, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
