Bwthyn Y Ddol Assessment centre is a joint funded service provided by Conwy and Denbighshire Local Authorities alongside BCUHB.

The assessment centre delivers careers and experiences that are challenging, rewarding, and differentiated by our values in working together to make a positive difference to the lives of children to ‘have the best life’ possible. We do this by providing children and young people with a safe and supportive environment and a fulfilling experience where their voice is heard and centred on their individual needs and what’s important to them.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

As a CAMHS practitioner you will working flexibly alongside members of the Bwthyn Y Ddol MDT and residential staff to provide assessment and intervention and / or specific evidence based therapies to children and young people and their families with complex emotional needs.

You will provide consultation and support to front line professionals in understanding and supporting children / young people and families through providing training, advice and direction. You will have an active role in supporting other members of the wider professional network within Bwthyn Y Ddol.

The current CAMHS Practitioner post is suitable for Nurses with core professional registration in any of the Nursing field. You will require excellent knowledge of mental health problems and disorders, family dynamics and understanding of relevant therapeutic approaches when working with young people and their families.

Bwthyn Y Ddol is a residential service operating over a 7 day week. We cater to the diverse range of needs of our young people and their families. We expect our team members to demonstrate flexibility in their working hours to ensure timely care and support is provided in the right setting at the right time.
